Quelen 2019
Non-traditional Bordeaux varieties rarely complement each other, but, at our Fundo Liguai, it is Petit Verdot, Cot and Carmenere that, when brought together, achieve something unique. Making up almost 50% of the blend, Petit Verdot provides structure and tension with notes of graphite and black fruits.
The Carmenere complements with its softness and spicy notes, while the Cot adds delicate floral and perfumed notes. Finally, 16 months in French barrels and a long period of aging in the bottle contribute to the complexity and harmony of Quelén. The result is a balanced, silky and elegant wine. This blend maintains the delicate and classic style of the old world, being especially appreciated by connoisseurs of the world of wine.
